One of the main focuses of interest in New York is its great architectural variety. You can go walking through Wall Street and find the pure Greek style of Federal Hall or walk 10 minutes more and contemplate the modern and contemporary cut of Ground Zero.

Architecture New York concentrates a wide range of aesthetic currents in its buildings. Train stations, churches, stadiums, skyscrapers, bridges ... The city is full of emblematic buildings that can be visited.

The Great Metropolis that is New York is divided into five large districts, which originally were independent populations, but in 1898 had the initiative to unify into a single municipality: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.

1. Manhattan

It is the most important district of the five that make up the city. It is divided into three sectors: Downtown, Midtown and Uptown.

Downtown is the oldest part of Manhatam, and hosts the financial heart of the city, Wall Street, with the New York Stock Exchange or the New York Stock Exchange.

Midtown is the most touristic part of the district, and where most of the attractions of interest are located, such as the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center or Broadway.

Finally, the Uptown is a part of contrasts. In it you can find some of the most important museums in the city, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim or the Whitney.

2. Brookllyn

Famous for the bridge that bears his name and that joins him with Manhattan, Brooklyn is the most populated district of New York, and as such, offers a great diversity of neighborhoods, each with its own charms.

3. Bronx

Located in the north of the city, it is reputed to be the most dangerous district of New York, although in reality it is not like that, except for the southern zone. This district is characterized by its parks.

4. Queens

Named in honor of Queen Catherine of Braganza, Queens is the largest district in the city, but New York architecture is not reflected in this neighborhood because it is considered the city's bedroom, as it is occupied in its majority for single-family houses.

5. Staten Island

To access this district it is necessary to take the Staten Island Ferry, which not only has the advantages that it is free and available 24 hours a day, but from it you can see incredible views of Manhattan architecture and the Statue of Liberty.
