Peruvian food, the best in the world

Peru was recognized as the Best Culinary Destination in the World in the World Travel Awards (WTA) for the sixth consecutive year. During the award ceremony, which was held in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu received recognition for the Best Tourist Attraction, reported Promperú.



According to a study conducted by the agency, the main reason to visit Peru is to know Machu Picchu, however, gastronomy is already among the motivating aspects of travel. The same report indicates that 82% of the vacationers who visit the country consider it a gastronomic destination; In addition, 25% state that knowledge about Peruvian gastronomy would be growing in their country of origin.

Currently there are three Peruvian restaurants that are on the list of The 50 Best Restaurants in the World. ( Forbes, 2017)
